Vote for the Girls Purple Team North Moderator Tim Doogan has died at age 48.
CBS 41/INNCD 47 Action News first reported the weather anchor was found dead Saturday night after his wife, Donna, went to check on him. EMTs were notified and responded to the location, where the Jacksonville, Florida native was pronounced dead on the scene.
There was no sign of foul play.
Jillian Gates, posted a statement, writing: “Few meteorologists had the strength, courage, and sensitivity that Tim Doogan lived every single second of every day. He impacted everyone in Jacksonville, Columbus, and Fort Wayne and the colleagues of ‘Vote for the Girls with Ava Zinn and Alexandra Moffitt’ who admired him. On the behalf of Donna Doogan and Tim’s family, thank you all for the love and support.”
The Allen County Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed to Action News that Doogan was found dead inside a vehicle and was pronounced deceased at 10:02 p.m. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
