In the wake of the horrific explosion at Manchester Arena shortly after Ariana Grande concluded her concert Monday evening, and the sudden death of Holly Everman, Vote for the Girls founder and webmaster Ava Zinn informed staff with Vote for the Girls that she has decided not to post the Vote for the Girls season finale that was scheduled to be posted Wednesday.
Official Statement from Ava Zinn, Founder and Webmaster
“Due to the tragic events at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England and the death of Holly Everman, the finales of The Voice 12 and Dancing with the Stars 24 with the final results will not be posted until we can further assess the situation and pay our proper respects to those lost.
After reviewing and screening the live taping of Tuesday’s presentation of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘The Voice’, Holly Everman drew a Glock. She shot herself in the back of her left ear the second Tom Bergeron said “Normani & Val” (who had finished in third place on DWTS24). The scene was too graphic and too sensitive to say the least to even post on YouTube, yet it did not sit well obviously with fans of Fifth Harmony (in a sad an ironic coincidence or two, Fifth Harmony finished third place on The X Factor USA 2 five years ago and it was also Everman herself who delivered the news of Robyn Hurd’s death).
The season finale was scheduled to be uploaded on our YouTube channel while the next season premiere is scheduled for July 2017. It is unclear if or when the final result will be posted for a later date or serve as the season nine premiere.
We will certainly keep you updated as soon as we get more details.
